At Water's Edge

As the days of summerdraw to a close,I feel a pull inside meto be near the water,to feel the cool mistof the sea spray,to hear the thunderingcrash of ocean waves,to smell the briny airof the salty waters.The sea calms me,grounds me,inspires me,and brings meback to myself.Though I livein Southern California,I rarely make enough timeto go to the beach.It's only now,when the long daysof summer are limited,that I'm remindedto journey backto the coast.
